Monday 28th July 2014

The participants  started the day with a buzz of excitement as they waved goodbye to their parents and boarded the coaches headed for Belgium. By the time the coaches reached the Channel crossing (at approximately 12:55) the level of laughter and chatter could be heard louder than ever. On the other side of the Channel the coach headed to Peace Village, where the group were going to be staying for the next  10 days on Tribe summer camp.

Camp really began when the participants listened quietly as the dorms were read out, the rules were read and a health and safety measures were explained, there was a practice fire drill. Following this, there was an opening session where the Madrichim (leaders) introduced themselves and the group got to know the leaders and each other.

It was time for dinner, everyone headed to the dining room laughing and chatting. After a long day the participants enjoyed some free time, where they could finish unpacking, if they needed to and continued to enjoy each other’s company.

After a long day the group headed to bed excited as they thought about what the next ten days on camp has in store.

Until tomorrow,

The Tribe Team
